Waiting.


Less than 4 months now to the last trip of the year. Seems like a long way away, and...it IS a long way away. I squeezed a lot of Vegas in to the first 6 months of the year, now I wait. It's good, need to re-charge the enthusiasm. Hard to get all charged up when you're going every few months like I did. March, April, July.

Still no room booked. Haven't gotten any offers better than 2 nights, and I need 4. I know I'll have to pay for one night but I don't want to have to pay for 2 if I can help it. Also the only resort that's hitting me up is Monte Carlo. Eh. Something will come along.

Nothing really exciting going on here in the city. I did have a little adventure last night with a live, breathing female of the species. Out of towner who I met in a bar, chatted up, then took bar-hopping with me. Cute. No hook up but held hands, kissed a bit. Nice just to feel like I was back in the game, even if only for a night. She's moving to the City, so potential future...I don't know what.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, was the first sniff of female companionship I've had in nearly two years.

I know why. I currently am struck out when going to bat in the bars. One strike is I'm 46. A 46 year old guy who likes younger women. Second strike is I'm bald. As previously stated, I probably lose a third of all potential hook ups on that alone. third, I'm fat. I'm currently tipping the scales at 260 lbs. Even for a 6'2" guy, that's fat.

I can't do anything about the first strike. None of us can reverse the clock. The baldness is remediable, but I have no desire to do the hair plug thing. So that leaves one strike that I can do something about, which is losing some god damn weight.

I love food. But I think I can get by w/o it for a few days a week to extend my life and extend my ability to get laid. Going to try to go primarily liquid only during my work week, meaning from Monday to Thursday. Friday after work to Sunday night bedtime I'll allow myself to eat whatever I want. Doing this during the work day is not a problem, I usually eat light during the day, it will be after work and my traditional snacktime that I will have to employ the willpower.

Going to do Ensure or something similar so I'm still more or less getting the nutrients I need. 3 of those a day and that's going to be pretty much it. We'll see if that helps. Can't hurt. Love to get down to 220-230 lbs and have a fighting chance in the game again.
