The Plan 3/14
That's all. I've gotten into a "rut" (if one can be said to have ruts in Vegas) on my last few trips of staying pretty much exclusively Cosmo and south on the Strip. Cosmo is pretty close to dead center of the Strip, so I'm going to try to get up to the north end this time, at least to the effective north end which is Mirage/Venetian/Wynn; no going up Riviera north or, Jeebus forbid, Strat north. I value my legs and don't want them falling off trying to hike up that far.
As far as I can remember I've only been in Mirage once, maybe twice, despite it being a MGM joint and part of my rewards program. I want to get up there and I've never really been into Venetian/Palazzo at all, so I'd like to check them out. I don't really have to do MLife service on this trip as I'll make it to the next color tier just by checking in at Luxor, essentially, so I can branch out to other resorts w/o feeling like I'm missing out on piling up tier points.
I got into Wynn/Encore a bit in my first few trips to town as I was staying in the northern hinterlands of the Riv and Strat, but that was before I became a bit more knowledgeable about the different relative "classes" of the Vegas resort hierarchy (Wynn/Encore being at or near the top), so it would be nice to re-acquaint myself this time.
I need to get away from my comfort zone of NYNY, Monte Carlo, Cosmo this time. They will always be there and for fuck's sake a lot of the bartenders there will know me on sight at this point but it'll be nice to expand my presence up the Strip a little bit. Never can have enough casual bartender acquaintances in Vegas. Get a lot of good tips from those guys, while handing out good tips to those guys.
Other than that, no real set in stone plans this time, just trying to keep it simple. I've got a bunch of stuff loaded into Evernote to check out, new stuff, stuff I missed last time. No way I'll be able to get to Vegas four times this year like last year ( I wouldn't think...) so I'm just going to go and let the diem carpe me. In the past when I've had even the simplest of plans I generally break them and just end up feeling vaguely bad about it, so if this IS one of the only trips this year I'm just going to maximally enjoy it and try to bring back nothing but good memories. Or mammaries.
What?
