The Plan, Xmas 2019.

Whelp, the final trip of 2019 is nearly upon us, so time to lay out what the hell I'll be doing.

Leaving work on the 20th and headed straight to OAK from there by Ubering to BART, leaving the car in the work garage for the week. Arriving late after the flight, won't be in town until 10p, so straight to the Mirage from the airport, get checked in and drop off the bags, then will head out for a little snack and probably some moderate drinking. Maybe hang at the Venetian/Palazzo complex as it's across the street from the Mirage. No gambling this first short night, keeping the full cash spend in place for the 6 days to follow.

Saturday, probably a nice relaxed, sleep in type of morning, no plans for the day so I can settle into things and not feel like I'm in any rush to get all "Vegas-y". This is the added day to the trip, so I'm going to try to ease into the trip and not get too gambled and drinked out. Still, it is Vegas, so whatever happens happens. Probably a good lunch somewhere then we'll see where the day takes me. The suddenly relevant 49ers will be playing at 5:15p so I may take some or all that game in, maybe at the excellent Mirage sports book, then it's go time.

Sunday, another no plan day. Going to try to make sure I'm sleeping well on this trip, which has been an issue on past long trips, so no rush whatsoever in getting up and out of the room. Will be out of Mirage at around 11a and then over to Cosmo to drop the bag until I can check in later on. Probably won't stray too far from Cosmo until I can do that, and once in the room (or, if upgrading, suite?) can drop off the bags and get all settled in for the 5 night stay there. Then the rest of the day it's gloves off and time to start depleting the bankroll.

Monday, the actual plan items start to kick in, as I'm headed over to Town Square again for Star Wars. Movie starts at 11:30 so I'll probably get there around 11a to get a quick drink and then see the flick. It's 2 1/2 hours long so it will allow me to dry out a bit after the first 2+ days of liver assault. After the movie I am cowboy, no plans and it's probably back center strip to continue the festivities. SO looking forward to being based right in the center of the action at the Cosmo.

Tuesday, another probable sleep in morning, enjoy the room a bit then will head out to do the do in the afternoon. Need to keep things somewhat under control during the day with the show later, so I might call this one of my "cool down" days where I eat a lot, stick to beer and hydrate up. Then after a probable freshen up back in the room, I'm over to Venetian first to hit the fantabulous Delmonico Steakhouse for my filet, then to see the Atomic Saloon show at Palazzo at 8p. I'm out of there by 10p then the gloves can come off and the shots can flow for the rest of the evening, probably around the V/P area. There's a new brewery open at Palazzo so that might be a destination. Could be a late one.

Wednesday, Xmas day, probably a pretty lackadaisical morning again, then out for a light lunch and some gambledrink, but keeping things under control so I can be presentable for the big splurge meal of the trip at Jean George Steakhouse at 6p. Big, free meal, then I'm free to ramble after that and see where the night takes me. Should have a healthy bankroll built up by now so the video poker will be flowing.

Thursday, the last day, probably will be pretty wiped out by this point so no restrictions on sleeping in this morning. I may be in the mood to try out something different by this point in the trip so I may head up north to check out the "new" Sahara, and maybe even the Strat which appears to have made some good renovations and improvements. Continue to eat well, maybe use up any last RC I have left with Mlife and close out the trip with a bang, probably hitting most of the usual haunts. Should be lively on the strip as some of the NYE peeps may be filtering in by now. No early wake up call Friday so I can go deep and do the last night up right.

Friday, fly out day, I'm out of the room at Cosmo by 11a and straight over to the airport to get the hell out of Dodge. If all goes well Im back to Oakland, across the bay and back in my Hobbit hole by around 3:30p.

So that'll be a trip then. Nothing earth shaking, but some good distractions planned, some great accommodations stayed and many a good food and drink eaten and drunk. Closing out a crazy past 12-15 months of life with the best thing in my life. Roll on December 20th.
