Joon Foodz.

Upping the food game on this trip, by necessity and also to serve a goal.

By many reports, dine-in restaurants are reservation-only for the time being in Vegas. So, not wanting to be relegated to Taco Bell for the entirety of the trip, I have made dinner reservations on every night of the stay but one. For Mlife point maximizing, 3 of the 5 reservations are at MGM resort restos.

-Saturday, fly in day, I should have a couple hours to wander around the strip after flying in and getting suite'd up at the Cosmo, but by about 6p (and after several beverages) I should be ready for some munch. Unless a better option presents itself, I'm going to head down to the Grand and try out Crush there. Never been, heard some good things.

-Sunday, staying close to the home resort and doing Jaleo. I've had lunch there many times, always great, never dinner, so this will be a heat check on that. So looking forward to that amazing Manzana salad.

-Monday, heading down to Gallagher's at NYNY. Have always done the very good filet there before, but have now found several in town that put it to shame, so I may try something else on the menu this time.

-Tuesday, it's the big splurge meal of the trip, once again at Bellagio for Prime Steakhouse. This will be the meal I use the bulk of my accumulated Express Comps that are already earned and which I build up from the first 3, almost 4 days of  the trip. Will have more than enough to pig out this night on the free.

-Wednesday, it's back to Delmonico for their opening night post-shutdown. Easily the best steak this poor boy has had, consistently great with good service and in a resort I love to death. If this is the last foo-foo meal of the trip it's a heck of a way to go out.

And that's about $400 worth of meals right there, so Thursday I'm going to play it by ear. If some resto peaks my interest I may make a reservation for that night, but usually I try to leave the last full day open so I don't get cornholed into having to be at a certain place at a certain time. Lunches all through the trip will be as I find them. Since walk-ins at sit-downs may not be possible it might be grab and go stuff mainly, and for late nights it may be packaged sammies from Vitals at the Cosmo as there may not be many 24 hour places open.

For all of these dinner reservations though, really, if I find myself having a great time somewhere away from a reserved dinner spot, or if I'm ears deep in some cleavage, I can cancel and wing it. I just wanted to have something on the books so I'm not doing Chalupas the whole trip.

22 hours to wheels down.
