Xmas Roomz.
Turns out I'm not really going to be slumming it though. Back again at the lovely and fabulous Cosmopolitan for 3 nights to kick off the trip, all nights comped just paying the resort fees. Then I make the hellacious trek of about 100 yards to Bellagio for the last 3 nights, all in there on a great Mlife rate $60 plus resort fees, so my total outlay for 6 nights in 5-star resorts is $354. Rad.
There are also points and perks considerations. Even if my tier credits will expire end of December, I'm still gaining rewards points with the Bellagio stay which can be turned around into Ex Comps. Part of the booking package with any Mlife prop also includes $50 in Freeplay and $50 in Resort Credit. If I stay anywhere other than MGM props I lose both of those. So factoring in the perks the all in price for Bellagio comes down to more like $122. ALSO I have Mlife Gold, so I should be able to bump up to a nicer room, at least a view upgrade and who knows what else at check-in.
Cosmo also pumps up my rewards volume. My play plus stay points feed into my quest for Identity Gold, and I can keep bumping up my resort credit haul while there which is already around $80. It's the best of both worlds of a trip for maximizing my two points and rewards goals in town.
There were other options within Mlife for naught but resort fees, but all of them were lesser options for one reason or another, (see following post). Bellagio is a great combination of posh, location and value. I prefer not to resort hop during a trip, but this is just one hop on a 6 day trip and the resorts are literally right next to each other, so shouldn't be too much hassle.
So, probably booked. Still a lot of time left though so holding my options open, probably up until the last minute, but hard to beat this duo I should think.
