Next. March.

Back to town in March.

Not much chance for a birthday April trip this year as the bunch of broadcaster assholes have their convention that week again this year so I'm cutting a month off the wait and going back in the last week of March. Going in early on a Sunday and leaving evening on Thursday so 4 days off of work but I'll have the PTO well built up by then. Good timing as I'll have a month or 6 weeks to recover financially from the Xmas trip before having to start saving for this one, and with any luck I'll have some tax refund income to put toward it as well. No slam dunk on that this year as it was a weird tax year last year but hopefully there'll be something.

Getting back on the Mlife train and have a Delano King Suite. Unreal rate for the room, a little over $34/night, which is crazy for that suite. One bedroom, huge bathroom, posh resort. Plus I get to check Delano off my "never stayed" list. Way more room than I need but if I'm only going to take 3 trips this year, fuck it, I'm going baller.

And speaking of baller, I decided, since the room rate was so killer and since I need late check out due to the late fly-out, to do the VIP package. $150 extra got me early check in, late check out, limo to and from the airport and VIP lounge access. Could have done NYNY or the Ex (ugh) for more or less full comp but I've started to get attached to the Mandalay Bay/Delano complex, I just love that place. And damn it, after all the years of tiny rooms I can afford a suite or two now, especially when they're more than 3/4 off non-Mlife full boat.

Flight, going with fucking Allegiant again, only because they gave me $50 off the flight for the debacle on the in flight to Vegas on the Xmas trip. Round trip with good seat, carry-on and priority boarding for $80. It's an early morning flight on the Sunday so I don't imagine they can fuck it up too much. Then a fly-out of 5p on Thursday which isn't ideal, but I can lounge about, get lunch and a beer somewhere and be able to watch the majority of the 1st Giants game of the season.

So it's back on the plan and obsess train, less than 3 months to trip one of 2020. New decade, same old Vegas, for me.
