It's Go Time, Bitches.
Still doesn't feel quite real but 48 hours from now my plane will be on approach to LAS.
Whirlwind, seemingly scant, little over 2 months since the last trip and I'm just about back. All is ready; the laundry's done, the money is GTG. Will pull out $3900 tomorrow and have another $650 available Friday if needed. I have reserved the limo to/from McCarran to the hotel. All that's left is working out the string tomorrow and a half day Wed then come home, park the car safely, get on the bus and head to SFO to commence the lost weekend.
Hoping this trip will be a banger, it represents 1/3 of my Vegas time this year so I'd love for it to be a fun one. Still nothing planned, no shows, concerts, nada. Seems the best way for me to go. I don't like being on a schedule here in SF so why should I plan things to the T in Vegas. Just wake up, pick a direction and ramble. There's not much going on in town this week anyway, I think the city is catching its breath before all the basketball/NASCAR/St. Patrick's bullshit hits in a couple weeks.
Looking forward to hitting the usual spots (The Dorsey at Venetian in pic above will definitely be one of them) and maybe add a few new ones to the list. Still would like to get up north to check out Lucky Dragon and while up there the Artisan looks like it could be a fun hang spot. We'll see, no pressure. Maybe a Double Down run in there somewhere? It's all open.
The weather looks like it will be great, cool on Wed/Thurs but then looks like it will creep into the 70's the last 3 full days. Might have to pack a couple polos which wasn't expected.
My head's in a good place, all my work stuff is handled, just finished my inventory which is the biggest part of my job every year and all went more or less as planned and on schedule. Should be able to disable email on Wed afternoon and not touch it until I'm back Tuesday morning.
So that's it. Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more; Or close the wall up with our English dead.
Or something.
