The Best - MY BUZZFEED POST!!!
Because every blog has to do listicle posts now, here's my TOP 10 BEST VEGAS RESORTS. RATE ME ADD ME SHARE ME BLOW ME.
My 10 favorite Vegas resorts, from 10 to 1.
10: Luxor
It's a bit run down, smoky, and the theme of the place is a bit tired, but there's some low brow fun to be had here. Public House is a solid sports bar, Tender is among my fave steakhouses in town and the newly renovated rooms look like they will be having me staying there in the next couple years.
9: Excalibur
It's the Circus Circus of the south strip but the old clunker still has its charms. Would never stay in one of the horrid rooms again but Dicks Last Resort is a highlight, really no other place on the strip like it. The staff is jaded and ancient but fun to hang with and the Octane bar outside Thunder Down Under is a hoot. And hey - Krispy Kreme!
8: MGM
Huge, impersonal, and crowded, but I have fun here occasionally. Tap sports bar is a good spot to catch a game, Whiskey Down has whiskey'd me down many times, and there are a ton of restaurants and a monorail station to help it make the list. Staying here later this year so it could rise in the rankings.
7: The Linq
This is more about the Linq alley than the resort but it's all connected to me. Off the Strip, Yard House, Tilted Kilt (for the girls in kilts), Brooklyn Bowl, and AmeriCan have all been solid time wasters in here. Don't think I would stay here due to the teeny rooms but I do love the vibe and the casualness of the place.
6: Caesars Palace
She's old and crowded and hard to get around in but damn if there isn't a shit ton of stuff to do here. Nothing shines out among the crowd but sheer quantity of possible activities make this a go to.
5: Mirage
Great vibe in this place, always feels like an old friend walking through despite the god-awful aloe vera smell that assaults your nose here. Center Bar, Parlor and semi-lucky slots play here make it a do on just about every trip, and it has the best show in town, Beatles LOVE.
4: Mandalay Bay/Delano
Huge, mellow and gorgeous. A million quality restaurants. Nice rooms at good prices. The Franklin, Skyfall, Foundation Room, House of Blues, and even more going on in Mandalay Place next to it. Some trip I'm going to stay here for a week and never leave the property.
3: Venetian/Palazzo
SO many hours spent at this beautiful, amazing place. The Dorsey is my favorite cocktail lounge in town. Rosina is not far behind. Tons of great food options, Rock House. A big, fun (but tight) casino. This place has it all and I can't wait to stay here someday.
2: NYNY
Hands down the best casino vibe in Vegas. Perfect lighting, good luck on machines, and a perfect clientele level for me. Not snobby but also not crack smokers. Have stayed here 6 times, always clean, comfy, quiet rooms. Good times had at Nine Fine, Center, Times Square, Pour 24 bars. My favorite steakhouse in town - Gallagher's. Just a winner.
1: Cosmopolitan
What can I say? It's my home base and my Vegas spirit animal. It's the first resort I ever stepped foot in in Vegas and the greatness of it has stuck with me ever since. Vesper, Chandelier, Bond, The Henry, The Chelsea, all Vegas legends in my mind. It has the best room I've ever stayed in - in my life. When I walk into this place it feels like home and I can't wait to be back when I leave. Keep on keeping on, Cosmo, you are the BEST.
