All locked in for Vegas December-o-rama.
Black Friday/Cyber Monday have come and gone, nothing changed in the plans so what I have booked now is the truth. Very happy with the rooms, especially Caesars. The same nights have been unavailable since the night I booked it so I got in when the getting was good, apparently. Took a flyer at getting a matching offer from a host at Cosmo, but he could only do 3 nights for me and 2 nights at casino rate so I'm sticking with the Palace.
The only concession I made to Black Friday was picking up one new hoodie to take to town. Since the weather will likely be on the chill side, especially at night, I needed maybe one more suitable warm thing. Got a great looking SF Giants hoodie that's still dressy enough to not be frowned upon in the swanky bars. Had to do a warranty replace on my Pixel 2 XL too, USB-C port was bugging out so I'll have a fresh new phone to take along.
Just the one show during the stay, LOVE again, nothing else that I wanted to see went down much over the sale weekend so I'll just have to scope it out while I'm there if I want to see another one. Not a biggie, I can always find something to keep me occupied (shots). I may treat the two Dubs games that are on during my stay Mon/Wed as shows too, just settle into a seat at Mirage or C.P.'s sports books and get out of the bars for 2 hours watching them. Maybe I'll just substitute naps for shows too (probably a really good idea).
Now that the Macy's pension fund is coming through, the save will be fine, going to take an average of $880/day, so $5300. That will keep me at a full post-trip $18K in savings no matter what happens on the trip. This way I have a comfortable spend that I can use all of, because it gets me back to town with most of my savings still intact. If I literally get off the plane coming back to the City with just enough bankroll left to get a cab to where my car's parked that's enough. It'll be nice to have a sizable roll to plow through on that last couple days if it works out that way.
Playlist is pretty much wrapped up, going with just a few Xmas tunes this year, since I'm not going to be in town FOR Xmas. Rest is mostly "chill" instrumental beats type tracks. I have the requisite 40 songs but I'm still going to add/subtract a few as I come across good tracks the next couple weeks. Nice and mellow and a good vibe list this year. Can't wait to be listening to some of these songs while I'm looking out at the Bellagio fountains from my Caesars room.
SO ready to light the candle on this one - beyond jazzed and looking forward to capping a very interesting year in style, T-minus 19 days.
