The Plan, 3/'19.
Hey so, yeah, I'm like, going to Vegas or something, tomorrow.
The money will be in a good place, I'll have $750 for the first, short night (if all goes well will be out to the strip by 9p), then $900 for the two full days. Should be more than enough. I don't plan to do any more than the now customary VP in terms of gambling, so those dailies will be healthy, and will leave my savings when I get back still relatively so.
In terms of savings on this trip (aside from the insane room rate and flight cost) I did cash in a myVegas reward for a lunch buffet at Mandalay Bay, which I may or may not use, and still have the old venerable certs from Restaurant.com for Carlos & Charlie's and Senor Frog's should I feel the need to be frugal during the trip. May hit Delmonico again at some point during the trip for the splurge meal, still jonesing after the filet I had last month.
Had to wrangle a bit over the phone with Park MGM the last 2 days (they were trying to give me a handicap accessible room?!) but have now already checked in for tomorrow night and just need to pick up keys at the kiosk and head straight up hopefully. For such a short trip I don't really care about views. Can't be worse than the one I had at Bally's last month. Have to hope against hope that the peeps next to me on both sides are non-existent or quiet, with the previously mentioned paper-thin walls.
Figured out how to get to OAK on BART, only about $12 each way and there's a tram going from the Coliseum station right to the airport so it should be smooth enough. I'll leave here at about 2:30p so as to hopefully miss the rush around commute time. Won't have that luxury on Friday but maybe I'll just bite the bullet and Uber home instead of dealing with BART.
And in terms of a plan, nada. Very impromptu trip so very impromptu planning, i.e. none really. No reason to plan anything on such a short trip. Just play everything by ear and see where the days take me. I certainly have plenty of spots to hit and can get creative if I like, and try a few new things.
So das it mane. I'll check in after another brief but hopefully fun little trip, last hurrah before going back to the work grind.
