4th of July Weekend in Vegas.

Sure, why not.

No other real opportunity to get a few days in Paradise, Nevada aside from that weekend, so we'll squeeze it in.

Going MGM this time in a West Wing room, decent rate for not much notice and a holiday, just over $480 for four nights. One night comped. No reason to spend any more than that on such a short trip, West Wing rooms are small but I don't mind that and I like the quick in/out they provide to yjr strip from the resort. Lierally you wlk out of the elevators and onto the strip. Only concern might be crowded check-in and elevators on that weekend, but what are you going to do, it's going to be busy everywhere. If a better offer comes through (now that I Pearled up) from another Mlife resort I can cancel this one and re-book but I certainly am unlikely to find a better rate.

No work time lost, really, taking the Friday as PTO (everyone was going to be off at the facility anyway) and just will leave slightly early from work to catch the flight. Flight was crazy high as everyone and their ugly cousin will be flying that weekend. Wednesday afternoon flight out of SFO on United at $254, Sunday late morning flight back to OAK on Spirit at $205. Ugh on Spirit and OAK, but I did upgrade the seat at least.

So total trip outlay as it stands of $941. Ouch, but again short notice and a busy ass Vegas weekend. Maybe will be a crush of idiots and wait times that week but for the 3 full days of fun time it should be worth the effort.

I think this will be my first 4th weekend in town. Trip 5 of the year in the plan stage.
