Holy Fuckballs. Thanksgiving Vegas.

I know I've said I'm an idiot in the past, but no, seriously, I'm a fucking idiot.

Just got some pennies from heaven in the form of a little $470 bonus from work. COVID related, kinda knew about it but wasn't really counting on it or expecting it. But of course, it got my twisted mind thinking.

I did some math. Along with the bonus I'm going to be getting in December, if you add the two bonuses together and don't reduce my normal save I'll be doing anyway, it comes to a little over $2000 over what my save would have been for the Xmas trip. And what, pray tell, could be done with an extra $2K between now and Xmas?

A goddamn motherfucking Thanksgiving Vegas trip.

Booked. I grabbed three comped nights in a NoMad Classic King room; just paying one night at $50, tax and the cost of resorts fees: $234 all in. That, and really ONLY that will go on the Mlife CC, leaving it as unmolested as possible for Xmas, and minimum $2700 cash will be the spend for the three days in town. A good old fashioned cash trip like the old days. No flight cost, as oh, hey, I have a new car and can drive that there for the cost of gas, which works out to about a hundy round trip. So my total overhead for the trip will be around $340. It's beautiful.

The $2700 will give me $800 for the 3 full days and $300 for the short first night. I'll try to make it a pseudo-bargain trip to stay within the cash means, will try to keep the bar tabs down at least on the first day with beer and shots instead of cocktails. Maybe fewer runs in general to the expensive Sam Ross trio in V/P. Not so many Vesper or Petrossian runs.

NoMad a good choice. Could have gone with something like Aria for close to $400 but NoMad is still close enough to all my haunts and going a little south on the strip saves me $170 and keeps me within my theme of bargain basement'ing this trip as much as possible. It's enough room for me as it is but since I have Gold Mlife I should be able to get a free upgrade to the Atelier room. Also will have the $50/$50 RC/FP package in effect on this trip, so in reality the cost of the room is $134 for 4 nights. Unbeatable.

Won't be making more than one reservation (the $50 in resort credit means I can afford one splurge meal on the Turkey Day), and will probably try to keep the gambling to a minimum, for sure on day one and maybe in general unless I'm doing well. I'm looking at it as a bonus trip gambling-wise, if I can rack up a few points on Identity and get closer to Gold, great, but again I suspect most of the daily spend will go to bars and lounges, with a little gambling sprinkled in for shits and giggles.

Also will be leaving any accrued MGM or Cosmo resort credit alone, and same for any coupons or gift cards at restos. Keeping that all in check for the bigger, longer Xmas trip. Building up more of it by gambling: OK, using it: not. Again, cash will be king on this trip.

Will take off in the 'Rolla after work from SSF, and will probably get into town sometime around 8p Tuesday night, so I'll be out on the strip Wednesday, instead of sitting around in my underwear scratching my balls at home, wondering what pizza joint I'm going to get delivered on T-giving the next day.

So full days Wed, Thurs and Fri, then out as early as I can drag myself out of bed for the drive home Saturday, beating the usual Sunday traffic out of Vegas. Home by late afternoon, and still having a full day to recover before having to go back to work.

Oh this is good. A 4-trip year after all...thank you employer bonuses. Now I am, literally T-Minus 1 month from a Vegas trip. Unreal.
