One Week, Or Something, I Don't Know.

Still no clue if I'm Vegas-bound in a week.

No change to CA's travel policy, it's "hey don't go anywhere" but there's no actual enforcement. The rub continues to be what will Nevada do. As has been the case for most trips this year, I probably will not know until a few days before trip time. Sisolak is likely to hold another press conference Tuesday at the end of the original "pause" that placed the 25% occupancy restrictions on. I have until Thursday to cancel the trip if need be so he's cutting it close as always.

If he keeps everything as is, with the current occupancy rates and bars open, it's full steam ahead. If he shuts down or closes the bars, it's either go and be pissy or don't go at all. I don't want to do another seating required trip like August, but I guess if it were that or sitting at home I would go. Nothing to do now but wait until he decides my fate, for the 3rd time this year. Slightly more pessimistic now, guess I'd say 75%-25% go.

Not much else to do to get ready. Just need to pull out the cash, do a load of laundry and pack my shit. I did have to change one of my flights, turns out I have no way of making it to OAK in time for the Allegiant flight I had booked, BART doesn't run that early on Sunday, so I had to change the flight I booked for Feb on Alaska to the 20th. No extra cost but I do lose the $80 of flight credit on Allegiant as a result. Oh well. Money spent long ago.

If I do go the impending Warriors season gives me some more viewing options on the trip, they play their first game of the season Tuesday night, so I can catch the 2nd half of that after dinner then there's the Xmas Day game at 11:30a. Aside from that I assume it'll be a bunch of "who cares" scrub team CFB bowl games all week but the 2 Dubs games and the Niners game Sunday is better than nada.

Have put together a decent Xmas Vegas playlist. Since I'm at two of the classier resorts on strip it's just a sort of "sophistication" kind of groove, with some Xmas songs mixed in. One to impress all the imaginary honeys I'll have up to my room during the 6 nights. Couple more nights to fine tune it.

Dunno. Hard to get any kind of hype going for this trip until I know for sure it's happening. I REALLY don't want to sit around in my underwear listening to the fucking landlords knock around above me for a week. Please Jeebus let this trip work out in some form.
