Alright Then Ye Bitches...

Last call for not-being-in-Vegas-ahol.

The trip is nearly upon us. The laundry is done, the bag is 70% packed, half the money's out of the bank and my balls are shaved. All that remains is to sleepwalk through two more days of work then turn off the email and Signal notifications and get on the MOTHERFUCKING plane.

I'm so ready for next week. Rarely have I felt more of a sense of "I fucking earned this" than this time. I've set my work on the right path this first few months of '22 and have things ready to expand, or soon will. I'm a star there and feel part of the team and about as vital as can be, for me. Now comes the "life" part of work-life balance. I'll give the career 48 weeks a year, those other 4 when I'm in Vegas - that's me time, ya bish.

Mandalay Bay is locked. This is one of the rare trips where I booked 3 months out and nothing better came along to upset that. Adding the Saturday to the trip meant there were other options but non at a full comp and certainly none at a better rate-room ratio.

In term of the plans those are unchanged too. Two food reservations and a whole bunch of freedom. Luckily the sports gods have my back, there will be 3 Dubs playoff games and 6 Giants games to be consumed, and at good times of day. I'll miss most of the Saturday Dubs game while on the plane but may be able to catch some of the 4th quarter when I get to town.

I have the playlist loaded up, a good one with songs I love, not anything theme-y. I have the new Bluetooth on-ears to bring and of course the trusty Boom 2 for the room. Also loaded a white noise app on the iPad and some sleeping pills for this trip, need to get some solid sleep to not crap out by the last couple days. Not bringing any China will help with that. The only intoxicant I'm likely to consume on this trip is in a vodka and/or beer bottle. I will miss the powder - I will not miss its after effects on me during a trip.

Been playing 50 hands a day on the poker trainer, pretty much back to tuned on that. Should have more than enough cash to make the chances decent to at least break even like a couple trips last year. All it takes is one aces with the kicker or a Royal. VP mainly and maybe a sacrificial slots hundy here or there, as always. Will also have $5700 available on the MGM CC so literally no worries about funds on this trip.

So that's it. I'm (nearly) out of here and will see all 1 1/2 of you after the trip.
