About a week and a half to bonus 2026 Vegas.

With not-shitty gambling the first two trips this year, we are able to squeeze in a 4th Vegas for the first time in a few years. Is good. With the bump from June assisting, I'll have a little over $4K in the bag going into town, with the ability if needed on the 2nd day there to hit a BMO and pull another $500 or so. Hopefully it won't be needed, it would be nice to hit something the first couple days and take the pressure off. 

The only concession I made to the save was taking a couple Saturdays off from going out in the City, both of which will not be big losses due to weirdness at the bars I usually hang out at.

So, the full 'Bies for #SeptemberVegas:

-5 nights at MGM Grand in a Grand King: $101 all in with my MGM Rewards rate, would be $1053, savings of $952 over rack rate.
-$120 Freeplay, $100 Resort Credit from booking package, value of $220
-$550 of anniversary and tier Resort Credit from Rewards CC: $550 value.

$1722 in savings and credit this time. I am a God among men. My steak is always juicy and my lobster is always buttery on this trip.

Not much of a plan. Get there, start drinking, hit my spots, spend a lot of Resort Credit at MGM spots for free drinks, gamble some, and have some good free food on at least 2 nights and probably more, but with only 2 rezzies because you can't hold baby down every night.

Good times to be had. T-minus 10 days.

In just 10 short days I will be on the ground in Vegas. It almost feels a little unreal. It's been so, damn, long since the last trip. It's been tough to get a heat on for this one but it's here now. Good room, great resort, good location, should be a good time all around. I so need a week to just fucking relax and get out of my own head. Was thinking about adding a night on the back end if I got an even bigger bonus in my review today. No more bonus but a 6% raise, which is better in the long run. So the trip is locked. I committed to "just" 5 days at the start of this after the Junepocalypse and I'm sticking to it. I really can't get myself into too much financial trouble on this one and that's going to make it more enjoyable. If I blow through the $5K in cash I'll take, fine, but no more lasting damage than that will be done. No more coming home to $7K in CC debt on top of cash broke. Skinny (ish).

  June is coming up fast.  Just over a month now. It'll be a skinnier trip, no crazy upgrade like last time, no flouncing around with an Emerald suite, and no big spending in general. I'll be having JUST the number on per-day cash spend budget. And right now, I have a good terrace room at Cosmo locked in for a little over $120 all in, no reason to dick with that unless my offers go up in May or June, pretty significantly ( UPDATE : they didn't, at least in May). 3/$120/$50 and just over a hundy all in out of pocket for my favorite resort and a non-standard room with a terrace (even if it's just looking at the ass end of Aria) is nails. I like being paid to stay in a top-tier resort in Vegas. This will be, while skinnier, a pretty relaxed trip money-wise. If I do come back with some pay it forward funds and I haven't wrecked the CC, then a late summer/early fall trip may be doable. Xmas Redux.

  Redid the thing. I had 6 nights booked at MGM Grand in the new Exec King Suite for the Xmas trip. Nice, fine, but it was going to cost me $180. I don't like cost. So there I am, bullshitting my way through another hideous day at my hideous job, and what pops up in my email but an offer from the lovely Fontainebleau for 2 fully comped, no resort fee nights in an upgraded Bleau Mountain View King. Both nights of which worked on the days I was going to be in town. I love the 'Bleau, and have wanted to stay there since they opened. So, bing boom bang, booked. The Saturday and Sunday nights too, which I would have thought would have costed me, but NO. Then I rebooked with MGM, and snagged 4 fully comped nights at the also lovely Mandalay Bay, in the really nice Elite King suite, which for my (limited) money is one of the best junior suites on the strip.
