The Plan, May 2021.

Well, I'm back to fucking Vegas again in a couple days, aren't I?

Keeping it fairly simple on a quickie trip this time. A couple things going on though.

Monday:

Should be getting in around 12:30p if the flight goes as planned, jump in a cab and over to Wynncore by about 1p. Will check in if I can, which on a Monday should be doable, if not I'll probably post up in a bar somewhere on site until I can. Once up to the room, will dump the bag and unpack what little I will have to unpack, then maybe freshen up with a shower or if not needed just luxuriate in what will most likely be one of the best rooms I've stayed at in Vegas. No big rush to get out and about really, but once I do I may grab a drink, get a snack, watch a little of the Giants game and maybe throw a hundy in on VP somewhere in Wynncore. Then if I'm feeling cocktails I can head over to Venetian for my old standby the Dorsey. Down a couple Coconut White Russians and see what condition my condition is in.

Evening Monday, no real plans, I don't have a reservation anywhere. If I'm feeling steak-y I might see if I can get into Delmonico since I'm there. Or I might head down to Cosmo to make sure I'm getting some Identity points built, could possibly get to Gold on this trip, I'm darn close. Not going to go overboard with gambling this trip though, it is a bonus trip after all. Other than that possibility I'm just going to see where my whims take me. Free agent that night.

Tuesday:

Not much going on in the daytime this day, probably will try to sleep in and take in the glory of the Encore suite. Leisurely get-ready and maybe a glass of wine while listening to the tunes in room and breaking up the cobwebs from the night before. Then I'm again a free agent during the morning/afternoon hours, surely will grab lunch and drinkies somewhere and just wander around a bit. Could use a Restaurant.com cert at Senor Frog's since I'll be looking for food anyway and might as well save a little. TI's right across the street. Otherwise I'm blown by the winds again this day. Giants are on at 3:40 again so something to watch if needed.

Tuesday night I have my first reservation of the trip, at the ever awesome Jaleo at Cosmo. Should be a mostly free meal as I have $90+ of Identity points I can use up. A great meal at the bargain price of free is always welcome in Vegas. After dinner I may gamble a bit since I'm there, and can take in either Chandelier or Vesper if I'm feeling a cocktail. After that it's again open to the fates. No reason not to let out some shaft this night. Cab back to Encore whenever I'm feeling on death's door.

Wednesday:

Same thing daytime Wednesday as Tuesday. Plan free. Have to text my new boss in the morning to talk first day logistics for the coming Monday, but then I'm up and out. Could hit my go-to Yard House for lunch to use up the last of the gift card I have there. Maybe hang around Linq a bit after if so. We'll see. Dorsey's open at 4p again if I'm feeling it. Giants at 3:40 again. It's all open.

Wednesday evening, after a possible room freshen up I have my last "obligation" of the trip as it's over to Wynn for Japanese at Mizumi. Soaking up that $100 in resort credit I have there. Another world-class meal for de nada. Haven't eaten there but probably can't mess up sushi too much. After that I am cowboy again. Could explore Wynncore a bit or just head out and see where I end up. I may go down some night to Sahara if I'm feeling it since I've never been there and am in walking distance, or even downtown to Circa if a wild hair flies up my nose. Cab is less to DTLV from so far up north on the strip. No reason not to go deep this night.

Thursday:

The last day. Really going to want to sleep in this day if I can. Soak up the vibes of the suite. I payed for the damn thing, I'm going to enjoy it a bit. Lounge and take my time getting up and ready to go out. May head down and use up the $50 of Freeplay I have at Wynncore if I haven't already. Maybe at the sportsbook while watching the early Giants game. I don't expect I'll gamble a ton on site but I'm sure I'll throw in a few hundy here and there on the trip. May get lunch on site and if I haven't used up all my room credit yet, and then it's probably down to Cosmo again to make sure I'm getting in my requisite few hundy a day of VP in to bang those ID points. Could head a little south to NYNY or even MB this day if I'm feeling it, most of the trip thus far has probably been Wynn to center strip.

Thursday night it's all open. No reservation and no plan. Likely will stop into Electra for the first and only time on the trip to see Evan and the boys, then after that I will have plenty of time to get smashed and stay up late as it's a nice late wake up call the next day. Maybe capture some of that last night gambling magic at Cosmo like on the last trip. Blow it out and go deep if I can.

Then on Friday, fly out day, I can sleep in til at least 10a, get packed up and out of the room right at check out time and over to the airport for the hopefully on time 1:20p flight home. If the airline gods are with me I'm back home and in the hobbit hole by about 4 after cabbing over and picking up the car.

That's a lot of Vegas for an impromptu, unplanned trip. The $4K won on the last trip finances this one, and it should be a blast as I have no worries about life right in this pocket of time. The old, crap job is out of mind and looking forward to a new, upgraded position where the sky could be the limit.
